There are gestures that do not appear in the sketches, but which represent symbols and traditions that give even more personality to the projects. One of them, preserved over time, is the one through which the builders mark the beginning of a new structure, namely the placement of coins in the foundation. It is a symbolic gesture, which has also become a tradition at AXXIS Nova Resort & SPA.
In classical architecture, the coin was considered a talisman of prosperity, an invisible signature, but with a meaning that remains over time.
As with the Madrid building, the tradition continued for Monte Carlo with specially crafted silver coins engraved with AXXIS Nova Resort & SPA on one side and the name of the building on the other. These are elements created exclusively for the resort, designed as a statement of intent — that each building sets out with a good thought and a sign of stability, preserved in its foundation.
In total, there will be six high-end residential buildings and a 5-star hotel. The complex will also include, among other things, SPA centers, exclusive shopping galleries, restaurants and a business hub, open all year round.
In a field where numbers, deadlines and materials seem to dictate everything, these discreet symbols – such as these coins – remind us that every project is, above all, about trust – between people, ideas and future residents.
Foundations are not only about concrete and reinforcement, but also the intention with which everything begins, and this gesture is another sign of a place built with meaning.
