What is a ventilated facade?
The ventilated facade is one of the most efficient thermal insulation systems, a system composed of mineral wool, anti-condensation foil and fiber cement.
The visible layer of the facade is a very efficient material, a fiber cement produced by Equitone, mass-colored, washable and resistant to UV rays. Other elements that are not as visible, but equally important and constantly subject to corrosion are the fastening elements. The force of the wind, the increased salinity and the temperature differences exert a constant pressure on them. Therefore, assuming the higher costs, we opted for fastening elements made of stainless materials – we bet on durability and long-term comfort.
How this system works. Indoor comfort and energy efficiency
Between the building wall and the outer cladding layer there is an air space that allows natural circulation and moisture removal, and this detail, invisible to most, contributes to maintaining a healthy structure – it reduces the risk of condensation, even in conditions of high humidity and temperature variations. Another important aspect is energy efficiency. The ventilated space helps regulate the interior temperature, reducing overheating in the summer and limiting heat loss in the cold season.
